The relationship between Switzerland and Indonesia extends across diplomacy, trade, education, culture, tourism, technology and innovation.

Rather than presenting these as isolated milestones, we approached the exhibition as a continuous journey, showing how connections between people, institutions and ideas have evolved over 75 years.

The exhibition became a visual timeline, allowing visitors to move through significant moments while discovering the many ways Switzerland and Indonesia have influenced and connected with one another.

The central idea was built around movement.

Relationships are not static. They evolve through exchanges, journeys, conversations and shared experiences.

This idea informed the exhibition's visual language and spatial experience, creating a sense of progression from the past toward the future.

Historical content was combined with photography, typography, graphic elements and spatial interventions to create an exhibition that felt contemporary while remaining respectful of the significance of the occasion.

One of the challenges was finding a visual balance between two distinct national identities.

Rather than treating Swiss and Indonesian culture as separate visual territories, we looked for points of connection—using structure, rhythm, colour and composition to create a unified language.

The result is an exhibition that celebrates not only the history between two countries, but the human connections that make that history possible.

An anniversary is naturally a moment to look back. But 75 years is also a point from which to look ahead.

The exhibition therefore concludes not simply with what Switzerland and Indonesia have achieved together, but with the possibilities of what comes next.
