About The Project
-
For an institution that has spent decades shaping entrepreneurs, business leaders and innovators, its brand needs to communicate more than academic credibility.
Universitas Prasetiya Mulya approached JED Creative to develop a stronger and more contemporary visual identity system, one that could reflect the university's evolving role while preserving the heritage and recognition built around the Prasetiya Mulya name.
-
Prasetiya Mulya has a distinctive position in Indonesian higher education, with a strong heritage in business and entrepreneurship.
The challenge was to evolve that position visually without losing the trust and authority associated with the institution.
Rather than creating a completely new identity, we focused on building a system that could bring greater clarity, consistency and contemporary relevance to the existing brand.
The goal was simple:
Respect the heritage. Move the brand forward.
-
A university communicates through hundreds of touchpoints every day—from academic materials and admissions campaigns to graduation ceremonies, campus signage, merchandise and digital communications.
Without a coherent system, each communication can begin to feel like a separate expression of the institution.
JED developed a comprehensive visual identity and brand guideline to establish a consistent framework across these different environments.
The system defines how the identity should behave across typography, colour, layout, imagery, applications and communications, creating a recognisable visual presence while allowing different faculties, programs and activities to retain their own character.
-
The identity needed to work for both the institution it is today and the university it aims to become.
That meant creating a system flexible enough to move between formal institutional communication and more dynamic student-facing applications.
From admissions and academic communication to events, merchandise and campus environments, the identity gives Prasetiya Mulya a consistent foundation for communicating with students, parents, academics, alumni and the wider business community.
-
The project demonstrates an important principle in institutional branding:
A university's identity is not defined by its logo alone. It is defined by every interaction people have with the institution.
By creating a more systematic and flexible visual language, JED helped turn the Prasetiya Mulya identity into a living brand system—one capable of expressing the institution's heritage while supporting its ambitions for the future.
An established name, evolving with the next generation of business leaders.
